Just before sunrise at the Pinnacles near the the little lobster village of Cervantes in Western Australia such an interesting place.Standing tall in the shifting sand dunes lies thousands of large limestone pillars that were originally believed to be a lost city. The first records of identification date back to the 1650s where the North and South Hummocks were explored by the Dutch. The raw material for the limestone of the Pinnacles came from seashells in an earlier era that was rich in marine life. These shells were broken down into lime-rich sands that were blown inland to form high mobile dunes. This is such an interesting and incredible place! It’s located in the Nambung National Park! Have you visited this amazing place? Let me know your views! We did astro here as well and it was rather spooky especially when a Ute came along slowed down stopped and our hearts just started beating faster anyway they then drove off making us feel much relieved"
